I took video of the entire Walt Stanchfield panel at Comic-Con a few weeks ago, but can not seem to open it in After Effects to render out smaller for youtube. It's an AVI file that I can open and watch on my computer but haven't had time to figure out how to get it online. The file just won't let me open it in any other program.... Please keep checking back to see if I get it up. (think my roommate might be able to help out!)

Have you tried opening it in Quicktime Pro ? (QT PRO is $29.00 from Apple. It's a good investment , very useful little program for quick editing and exporting of video files)
QT PRO should allow you to export the file to a compression codec like H.264 which will be smaller than the raw .avi file.
